Reflection prompts for the upcoming year:
After you've reflected on the upcoming year, take a break, set your writing aside, and then come back to the final activity in this section.

- What do I want the upcoming year to look and/or feel like? What don’t I want the upcoming year to look and/or feel like?
- What do I want to do during this upcoming year? What are the things that I don’t want to do? What things are expected of me?
- Who do I want to spend my time with? Is there anyone I don’t want to interact with on a regular basis?
- What might help me achieve this vision? What might make it a challenge? How could I remedy these challenges?
- Time estimate: ~20-30 minutes

Review your writing and identify an intention for the upcoming year
For our final activity in this section you'll review what you've written for your reflections and identify an intention (or a theme!) for the upcoming year. Here are some general steps to follow for this next part of the process.
- Read through what you wrote and identify themes or commonalities that are showing up for...
- the previous year
- the upcoming year
- across both years
- From those themes, brainstorm an intention for the year. E.g., what is one word or phrase that best captures how you want the upcoming year to go.
- Write down whatever comes to mind without editing yourself. Go through those ideas and choose one that feels like it best captures how you want the upcoming year to go.
- It can also be helpful to define your intention for yourself. Think about what that word or phrase means for you.
- Once you've got your intention set, sleep on it! See if it still feels good the next day or after a few days. Once you've got it set I'd also encourage you to write it down anywhere and everywhere, to remind yourself of it and help you focus your actions and thoughts throughout the day.
